Golfnut has some very good recommendations. We were there in Aug this year and camped in Gardiner. It is a lot of driving from there to get anywhere in the park. Staying inside can really add to your good time during the day. Drive from Canyon out Lamar valley and drive the beartooth highway. Tetons are amazing if you can swing a day there.
