Fruita CO | I have a stump in the front yard, cut off flush with the ground but still a little bump for the mower to go over. Last fall I decided to burn it out, drilled 6-8 holes a foot deep & poured diesel into them for a week or so. Waited until there was a couple inches of snow, figuring that would help with fire hazard...piled scrap wood on it, lit it, & the wood burned but just charred the stump a little. Never could get it to light. Plan B involves a stump grinder... | |
