E.Central MN | I don't place much validity in court cases where the jury acts on emotional testimonies rather than scientific data. But those are the cases that get all the media publicity which non-farmers are quick to believe. In the real world, we should be seeing a slew of cases of ag workers dropping dead at an early age, but the average age of farmers keeps getting older...farmers are exposed to so many respiratory irritants that it wouldn't be surprising if they had more cases of certain types of cancer. Luckily, I haven't been forced to sit inside a new pickup or tractor cab that is full of out-gassing plastics for hours every day...in fact I often have to prop open the cab door on a very hot day. Wouldn't it just kill people if researchers discovered that hard work and sweating was the secret to long life... | |
