Guess I don’t understand why people like gold. Just sits there, doesn’t provide a dividend, worthless for trading.

If the wheels were to fall off every thing, fuel, food, cigarettes, lighters, penicillin, ammo and other essential will be the new currency. Gold will be irrelevant.
