I stick with my Weber charcoal grill and a Masterbuilt electric box type smoker that uses chips.  I always here family members complaining that have the pellet grills is that there's a hot spot here and it burnt part of it, or it didn't get done here cause the it wasn't over the heat right.  Not sure if it's brand specific or what.   I never have that problem with my grill or smoker, they cook evenly.


Not all pellet smokers are created equal. I read lots of complaints about many common in store brands, and settled on RecTeq.
