NEMO | Are you giving the 8-way blackleg? If not that might be your problem.
Most around here use to give the 7-way blackleg shot until a couple years ago when cattle started dying from blackleg. There was an 8th strain that needs to be vaccinated for.
The vet wants us to vaccinate everything every 6 months for a few years and then we are hoping we can go back to once a year on the adult cows and bulls.
Last year the pocketbook said to vaccinate every 5 months because at 6 months the cattle started dying!!!
I cannot preach this enough. If anyone is still using a 7 way blackleg start using the 8 way blackleg shot! For the few pennies more it's pretty cheap insurance. | |
