Ill also add that over grazing native pastures here will just increase the smooth brome. Burning helps, hard early grazing can help but you will never get rid of it. Just try to manage it. If it wasn't for smooth brome or Kentucky blue grass much of eastern south dakota wouldn't have grass in their pastures.
