Subject: Grazing issues

We have have one old retired feild planted completely to smooth brome grass here in NE Colorado. Our herd loves it!! It’s the first to green up and it’s thick by late April. We can get 3 grazes out of it every year vs 1 out of our short native grass pastures. I HATE that native grass with a passion. It’s a major fight to keep them on it. I want to do away with that and put it to a smooth brome or a mix with that in it. Would you recommend no-tilling seed directly into that native pasture or would I need to work that up and start fresh?? Iv never worked with drilling into an established pasture before.
