USDA employee no, I have to contribute something to society and not be useless. Some people like to stick with a rotation,they grow wheat every third year. Fungicide and extra nitrogen is put on with ground rigs,some fungicide is put on with airplane or helicopter but not much anymore. Typical wheat yields are around 80-90 bushels then dc beans and get 50-55 bushels,why wouldn't they. No where in any of my threads did I say wheat was gonna be a disaster here, pivots were running to avoid disaster. That's why we have them, you don't start pumping water after it's run out of juice. Yes we farm ground that is sandy in spots,but in 2012 there wasn't corn field here that got disked under where as you said 2/3 of yours was. Maybe invest in irrigation.
