Scranton | We harrow our organic after planting. Beyond the dry weather, the harrow dried it out to powder (keeps most weeds from sprouting). 3/10 seemed to wet it all the way down to old moisture line somehow.
Best organic crops for me are when it stays dry a couple three weeks after planting. Corn/beans shoot up while weeds do not. When if finally rains, you have a deep rooted crop that is far ahead of weeds.
But mother nature is never cooperative. She'll give me my dry spell, probably in july LOL | |
