s.c. north dakota		A friend of mine told me his well quit one day so he climbed down in the well pit to see what was wrong. He took the cover off the pressure swiitch and found a small garter snake had gotten itself inside the switch and had gotten its body into contacts and fried itself. He made the mistake of telling his wife why the well quit and she refused to drink water from that well for a long time!
