Thank you for pointing that out. Cynicism reigns here but there have been U.S. government programs that served a good purpose and were then retired in the past. Folks choose to ignore them because it doesn't fit their narrative of doom and gloom.
Could you please point out some of the govt "programs"/regulations that have been retired.
Most of the time regulations that are allowed to die are only allowed to do so because they've been replaced with a new/stricter regulation.
The narrative of "doom and gloom" comes from the left that "the earth will cease to exist in __ years if we don't act NOW". They have been spewing that nonsense for the past 40+ years and for some unknown reason people keep lapping that crap up. The reason changes once in a while but the doom and gloom is always the same, yet it has never come true.
A humble request to Canada….
