I’m guessing a lot of those months isn’t a deep frost like here so it gets stored in the moisture profile, no? With that said, I understand there are less prime areas that are shallow topsoil and then clay…. If I had springs line 2019 on the regular, I would pattern tile like out east to compensate. Here, you throw a few tile runs in the bottom is all for a bit of the ground due to terrain and avg rainfall.
As 1891 mentioned above the amount of rivers and flow of them is the answer to where most of that water ends up. Also a lot of the ecb on average is planting the same time you are (don’t think C and WC IL but east and south) despite all our warmer temps and longer growing season. |
