cornfolio - 5/18/2023 17:48 You could also get 22 inches of rain in May and June and none the rest of the season so what would yields be then? Not 220 for sure. It's all relative as the chances of getting an inch a week every week for 12 weeks with average temps is just as unlikely as getting 22 inches in May and June and nothing afterwards.

What you describe is what happens here. Last year between April 25 and June 28 we had around 16 inches of rain and nothing after that. Flooding took half the crop, then drought took half of what was left.  It is almost always too wet in May. Last time it wasn't too wet in May was 2011. It is ideal here now for corn, but it seems likely it will get too wet during the next 2 weeks, would be good for ponds, double crop soybeans, and the pigweeds growing in the short wheat.
