IN, Boilermaker country | My wife taught second grade for 20 years until this last fall. Tired of administration that was more worried about parents being happy than anything else, and total lack of support after covid debacle. Wasn't going to do it for 20 more years! She was miserable. Told me one day that the reason she walked the trails around town after school instead of going to the gym was because she could wear sunglasses and people wouldn't see her crying. That was it. No more teaching. Don't let your daughter go that long being miserable! She found a job as a secretary and was promoted within three months to an advisor. Making the same money as after 20 years of teaching. The real world values hard work, timeliness, and dedication. Education here does not. She is the happy person that I married again. Support your daughter however you have to but from here, the only answer is get out of there! | |
