Hooker Twp,Ne
Dad started me on the tractor and 4 row Dempster lister when I was abt 14 yrs old. First thing he said: DO NOT BACK UP WITH PLANTER IN GROUND. Well 50 years later I was turning around on end, let 16 row Kinze planter down, hit auto steer and for some reason auto steer swerved off on me ( keep in mine this auto steer was all new to this old man) and I decided to quick back up. Yep I did it. First thought I could scrap mud out with screw driver and called son to help. Nope spent next good hour in front of shop with power washer. Son wasn’t real happy with me as I had told him when I first got him on the planter: DO NOT BACK UP WITH PLANTER IN GROUND. Oh well skit happens.
