Subject: RE: Stories about Bad Equipment Breaks

Probably one of the worst we have had. We wee hauling grain when it was muddy. The truck made it out of the dirt drive way but spun out when it got to the gravel/sand/clay stuff the county put in the road.
We hooked the 4 wheel drive on the front. When the 4 wheel drive got to the far side of the road, the road gave way. Of course I stopped. When the 4 wheel drive stopped the truck stopped. When the truck stopped the road caved off on the truck side.
The trailer rolled over into the ditch. The fifth wheel pulled off the truck and the trailer went over the back of the cab.
The worst part was there was salt on the roads so all that salt water ran up inside the trailer walls. After about 6 months the insurance decided to fix the trailer. Of course the side walls were already starting to be eaten up.
