edgerton ks. | Evercrisp, it’s very sweet and crisp. Much better flavor than honey crisp has. There is a lot of newer varieties that I feel have better flavor than any of the older standbys. But it is very difficult to get display space in a grocery store for an unproven Apple that nobody recognizes the name. Pixie crunch, crimson crisp and ludacrisp are all developing a loyal following here at our farm once people try them. Evercrisp however is gaining traction in the commercial market somewhat. Our Costco occasionally has them. They should be readily obtainable in the northeast as there are quite a few planted now. | |
