i shouldn't have stopped but i was unsure why exactly i would have needed it. my favorite thing to do when i have spare time from the farm in the evening is to play around with amateur electronics and trying to implement them into my operation and make life easier. with that said i could not see myself buying and dealing with setting up my own rtk network using cheap electronics when i could buy a trimble base for $900.
also the part no one is mentioning here is that if your using the namebrand systems most will likely not steer using nmea strings from a gps base that doesn't have their name on it. so while being really cool and exiting its inexpensive its not as easy as one thinks sometimes. | |
