Alberta | GPS degree heading should be the same in all GPS, regardless of the price or who makes it. They all use the same satellite corrections. If you are using true RTK, that specific point on the map should never change if your base station address is surveyed. a surveyor using surveyed pins for their base station, should be able to tell you within 1 inch or less of where in the world his survey stick and receiver is, regardless or the equipment maker. What will probably change is if they are using other corrections besides RTK. Lines may not line up. Unless your receiver is getting some sort of radio, cell signal from a base station somewhere, you are not getting RTK. And unless that base station is a surveyed base station, the lines from one farmer using his own surveyed base station, may not transfer over to another farmers monitor who is also using an RTK base station, but, whose point in the world has not been surveyed. | |
