| Depending on how the line was defined, a shift in the base station could definitely cause a change in heading. How far away is the base station you switched to from where you put the tripod base station before? EDIT: I'm struggling to explain why this might be, but I believe it has to do with how Deere defines "parallel" lines vs how everyone else does it. And the fact that the A+ heading lines are actually A+B lines, where B is calculated based on your heading. If you shift the A and B points by some delta latitude and longitude, if the distance is a few miles, this will cause a subtle change in the heading from A to B because the earth is a sphere (who knew) and Deere does not use rectilinear grids. I can work out the math if you want. An interesting thing and something I don't think you'd notice on any other system that uses rectilinear grids. Or if you had your Deere make the lines using the other method (you can select what you want in the monitor).
