wireless internet, can a home PC use it?

Hopping on the neighbor's is sort of not right.

About 50% of the folks don't bother securing theirs, tho!

You need to be within a block to pick up a signal, within 1/2 block or so to use it - most of the time, most of the average $50 router setups.

These home networks are one way of wireless.

Then there is the line-of-sight wireless internet - you need a bbq grill type of dish to recieve it, you pay them for the internet connection. Broadband.

Then there are the cell phone style, which folks have explained more here than I know about.

All are 'wireless' but are different things.
