| I think you better do some research on this subject, because that is wrong. Title to land never was lost for the seller so how could he have unrealized gains. Title only changes hands when the final payment is made on the contract. Plus he already has paid tax on that capital.
Those bank write downs are a totally different situation as to why their is a tax liability. | |
