Subject: RE: Drip tape irrigation question

WC Indiana
We haven't had any rodent problems with our drip and we can usually get by with around 6-8 inches of water to make a big difference. We also have a 3 phase well 57 feet deep that provides the water for 3 pivots and the drip. Obviously not at the same time. We have about a mile of8" underground to feed the pivots and drip and just rotate between them. With the shallow well and eastern cornbelt rainfall the irrigation variable cost/acre is pretty low, $15-$20/acre.
