Texas | If it’s dry where you’re at I’d do every row so you can water it up. It also makes nutrients through the tape more efficient. And if it’s on 30’s it’s not near as important to line up on it. You can ever go against the tape if you don’t need to water up.
The only advantage to wide tape is cost or if your really short on water and want to use it as supplemental irrigation
80” tape in cotton makes for a lot of hard management decisions. Most of that stuff was cut in pre gps so it’s not straight and you get rows that are twice the yield of rows next to it closer to tape. | |
