north-central Indiana west of Fulton | I have 3-4 trays of ground corn in the shed.... mostly set up on equipment not moved often ...or one up very high. After a few days I put a tablespoon or 2 of Avitrol on top of the ground corn. It looks the same as the ground corn. I’d say for a few days, you would still see and hear birds around , but there didn’t seemed to be poop on things. Now at the end of summer ....you go in the shed , and you don’t see or hear a bird.
The baffling thing is, I have never seen a bird taking bate or seen a dead bird. I have not added ground corn to the trays. I have put another dipper of Avitrol on the corn only a couple times since. The 5# box should last a long time.
We had previously put a ceiling in, but the birds could still land on the equipment.
