Central NY | Went from 30’ to 40’ and it requires some 1/2 and 1/3 cuts on some of our knob hills to get as many beans as possible…but wouldn’t ever go back. Can’t sneak down the road like we used to but we lose minimal time there and gain so much in the field. Don’t need to push the ground speed and still pull off the needed acres per day.
Spreading the chaff in certain conditions is the only downside, as we no till the corn. But recent posts have given us ideas to try and fix that on our Deere.
Worst part might have been the cost of the header cart going from 30 to 40 feet | |
