Maybe your not no-till, but most combines can't spread residue evenly over more than about 35' (40' if your lucky, with the newer residue management systems).
Spreading residue evenly is extremely important for getting even stands in no-till, so my guys don't buy heads any wider than the combine can spread residue over (most of the time).
