Subject: RE: Pivot woes

Southeast Colorado
I've noticed some ugly looking steel on the pivots for sale from down in his region.

Ours don't get as ugly on the outside.............but it's pretty hard to keep one from falling down in 25 years. I've started underslinging them with plastic when they're somewhere between 10 and 20 years old. I bought a 25 year old half mile Lockwood a few years ago from up by Burlington CO. The pipe on the inside still looked like new. I've surely depreciated it more in the last 3 years than its entire previous life up there.

Water quality obviously varies for us all.
