Subject: RE: Pivot woes

Ya know I’ve talked to two farmers this year that I’ve always watched from the road. One of em farms a lot of gumbo dirt and it can’t really grow corn but he told me that he’s averaged 87 beans before. And then there’s this old guy that I just admire his farms from the highway, it’s mostly good ice cream dirt and he said he averaged 76 last year and about half was dry land. After hearing this and knowing what a few other farmers make I guess maybe im not so special a farmer and the dirt and irrigation that the delta has is really what made me look good. Kills me to say it too but I’m average I guess. I’m doing a good job on 500 acres and 500 acres here isn’t considered very much at all. If I didn’t make a good crop it’d just be embarrassing really
