| To be clear the Australian Cattle dog is a red or blue healer and not the same as an Australian Shepherd. I have had Border Collies but they were more timid around strangers than I wanted. Switched to Healers and they were almost aggressive to strangers to the point they would bite at ankles. I now have an Australian Shepherd and after a year I could not be happier with my choice. She is faithful, loves everyone, and will alert us to anyone entering the property. I know my experience is not true of any other dog of any of these breads but just my personal experience. Best of luck finding the right companion. | |
