Farmington IL | I had a red healer 14 years. Raised the right way they are great dogs. They are smart. They learn who belongs and who doesn’t. He would answer a knock on the back door like a demon possessed but the moment he recognized a friend it was all tail wagging. If he didn’t know you, you didn’t have a chance of getting in. That was usually a good thing. He would guard the pick up too. He loved the mail man, ups guy, fuel guys, LP delivery guy and anyone who carried treats! He would meet you at your car door if he was out side, again if he knew you it was all tail wagging if not he would raise enough heck to let everyone know someone was there and they were pretty wary. Like everyone above said if you spend time with them and they stay active they are amazingly faithful and happiest at your side no matter what or where. | |
