It's 97° at 9pm. 60% humidity and no wind. Been a great day..... I'm beat and all the cattle are out grazing. It didn't matter if they were white, yellow, red or black, they were hunkered down by 10am. They all went to work about 5:30.

The comments on heat from folks on here has been amusing and dumber than a box of rocks at the same time. Those boys in Kansas got a dose of what's normal here and it truly is opposite of a blizzard. If they would have lost 50000 it would have been a job well done. Barns and sprinklers would have killed more cattle in those conditions.

The cattle here are acclimated to those conditions. They don't need humps and ears or a certain color to be acclimated. If they have dealt with it, they will deal with it.

We have 90*+ temps and 90%+ humidity all through the summer here in the Ohio River Valley.

Cattle absolutely congregate under a shed roof or in tree shade. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand the benefits of those things. I’m more curious how a roof would have killed more animals.
