Red Blood - 5/24/2022 15:51 We currently are running a Raven Smart Steer setup on this MX200 on WAAS using a Raven Cruizer. We plant corn with it and are fairly happy with the results but still run a marker and have to babysit it quite a bit by nudging line when we turn around and sometimes it seems to have a mind of its own. We are to the point where we'd like to go to something more accurate.
Sounds to me like you need to upgrade your signal to something better than WAAS. A hydraulic steering valve isn't going to fix having to nudge your line over all the time.
It was mfwd but we pulled our planter with a tractor with an EZ steer and FMX Trimble on RTK. Now we have a tractor with integrated hyd steering on the same planter. The tractor with integrated steering will get itself on the line faster but the tractor with EZ Steer planted rows that were just as straight and spaced nearly perfect once it acquired the line.
