E.Central MN | One thing that we never gave much thought to (except for the extra heating cost) is air infiltration that we used to have in older houses. Things that weren't a problem there, like outgasses from carpets, air borne particles, etc could be a problem in a tighter airspace. I compare it to the industry problem with formaldehyde fumes, they worked to correct that problem but now we have the other fumes that are trapped in your living space. In the past they were diluted with air infiltration such that it wasn't a problem in most cases. | |
