Hagen Brothers farms,Goodrich ND | Jim, I did something like that to my old 80 GMC crew cab 1 ton. The stock 292 was underpowered for pulling gooseneck trailers, so I hopped it up a bit. Bored it 60 over and installed high compression propane pistons. Ported the head and installed oversize stainless steel valves. Added an Offenhauser 4 bbl aluminum intake manifold and headers. I topped that with a big Motorcraft carb and IMPCO propane /gasoline dual fuel mixer.
After the mods, it will pull a gooseneck trailer with a 4020 on board at 65 mph with lots of throttle left.
Runs on either gasoline or propane.
