Boone, Iowa | Ford has had several Mustangs out with them, along with GM on the Grand Prix GTP. There are others, but cannot think off the top of my head. If maintenace is kept up on the engine, oil and air filter changes, you should get along fine. What the supercharger is doing is adding air to the intake side of the engine. In a simple term, it is forcing more air in the engine, which is measured in boost. Add more fuel with the extra air and you get more power. The auto engineers are going to install these chargers on engine that is built strong enough to handle the extra load. If driven correctly, you should have a fuel efficient vehicle and have the power at your right foot when you need it. | |
