Subject: RE: Strip Till - Freshening Strips in Spring

Blue Earth, MN
I wouldn't completely toss out the strip till corn on corn. We have developed our system such that our continuous strip tilled corn on corn works excellent. Two passes, one fall pass applying P and K and a spring pass applying N. We use same machine just change the depth of which the coulter operate at between fall and spring.

Last time I checked the "coulter" machines such as the RTS, GP Turbo till are fairly HIGH horsepower consumers. We tried out a 22' GP TT and our 8300 had to snort to pull it at 8-9 mph. Personally, I wouldn't waste my time with one of those.
