Oh, Sounds like you have it figured out. How come the original post then asking what is the best system out there if you had it figured out already?
Dawn makes a fertilizer coulter pretty similar to the coulter on the Deere system. I know one can put together a system using the Dawn coulters and a 40' toolbar for significantly less then the Deere.
