Coulter openers like I used on my planter worked on pass last time. The support bar wasn't strong enough so I dribbled the rest.

I put them on 60 inch centers.

Earlier I started with a 4 row wide cyclo 400. With the seed tank off, I mounted a 32% tank there and mounted a squeeze pump on the step. I moved the outer two rows 120 inches apart, and took off the row units on the middle two rows. I bolted a couple angles between those middle two row bars and mounted on row unit right in the middle. These row units have side gauge wheels and I added closing disks. I use NH3 stiff tubing from the squeeze pump to the seed shoes and just stuck the tubing down where the seed tube used to go. It worked very accurately the years I used it. Last time I let the corn get too tall to go under it, so I tried the three point driven by my sprayer with those coulter knife units from my planter, but an angle made of 2 2x8 douglass fir wasn't strong enough.
