| The coulters and ammonia knives would work for either. I'd like a closer for NH3 and on my planter the double disk openers did that for me. On my cyclo side dresser I mounted planter closing disks that I had from one or the other cyclo 400.
The big changes would be in the metering. I used a squeeze pump for 32% on the cyclo and pressure plus orifices on the planter. Controlling and distributing the gas would be different from the liquid. I suppose either can be made to work with NH3, but I've been avoiding it so I have no experience with it. And I don't care to have any.
I used the ammonia knives because they were slim, only 3/8" thick and they slipped down in the coulter slot nicely.
