Subject: RE: Air ride seat What a disappointment

Callao Missouri
I have never been a fan of an air ride seat of any form. I have found that a properly functioning hydraulic ride seat in a JD provides a much better ride than an air seat can offer. There are a few things that wear out on the hydraulic seat and can cause them to provide less than desirable performance. First the accumulator must be properly charged per the operators weight and that is the one thing that can make the biggest difference in performance. Secondly the bushing's and rollers need to be in good condition. A good shot of panther juice once in a while under there helps.

Also frequent check's for paraphernalia such as grease guns, pliers', pipe wrenches and soda cans under the seat can boot performance and operator satisfaction. PS. I put an air ride seat in a 4430 one time. Talk about a joke. Jon
