Did diesel tank on a D4 cat dozer once. Duck taped a 3" hose from an exhaust pipe on truck to fuel filler neck for about an 1/2 hour tank was about 1/2 fuel of fuel, welding above fuel level. I am still here. Dont know if this is the best but it worked :)
