Exactly. I've done the same thing. $145 is rediculous, but sometimes hitch pins are worth the extra money for hardened steel. Are you talking a drawbolt, or the pin for a 3pt lower arm? If it's a pin going into a quick hitch on a heavy load, I'd be careful. And a word of warning, not all hyd cylinder rods are hardened, especially not the 2" ones from the lift cylinders on JD planters......
