NE Montana | We ran atom jet openers for years on our flexicoil (opener looks like yours) and started breaking shanks (red colored, almost looks like cast iron). We were told the shanks were rated for 350 # trips, but we had the 550# springs, not sure if that was true. We got tired of changing shanks that we replaced all of them with the spring steel kind (grey colored, new style) and ran them with the atom jet openers and never had a problem. Went to stealth openers last year and still haven't had one shank break. | |
