Aberdeen MS
LOL @ the "pixie dust".

I got a number "switched" on me this spring. Without calling first, I "lost" one variety and got the "Y" bean instead. I was told it was "basically" Cruiser treated vs non. I kind of welcomed the switch in a way. I'm running a strip till vs no till experiment and have 32 rows of a "Y" bean and a non (wish they were comparable genetics.. but they aren't). The 2 different basic genetic makeup is an interesting side by side, but I kind of knew the "Y"s basics might be a down fall in certain areas of the field. And they are.

Unfortunately..... after using this dealer for many many years, his % of sales will be lower next year, not because of the fact of how the "Y" was represented, it was because of the fact he thought he could change my order on his wish rather than mine.

In retrospect.... so far I haven't seen any advantage of the Y, but the weigh wagon will be out in the next 10 days or so (hopefully) and final determination will be done at that time.
