What exactly is it that Pioneer did that is BS? You don't believe that Pioneer found a couple of genes in the bean genome that express yield and that they have passed those yield genes into new varieties that have SCN resistance, Brown stem rot resistance, phytophthora resistance, good SDS tolerance, etc.
