The main reason they are treated is to keep them out of where they shouldn't be, (ie food chain) until they are ready for approval. They also are treating them to protect the yield increase like they did with poncho 250 and TS corn in the past. FYI All of the yield check on the RR2's vs RR1's were untreated.
