SEIN
Our county SCS has a watershed project. The idea is to keep sediment from getting into the creek that flows into the river. Our county has a drainage board with a book of rules that is about an inch thick on regular size paper. None of the rules are enforced. The developers, (I refer to them as farmlandrapists), have leapfroged out into the country and bought cheap farm land and blown it up to put in sewers and streets and curbs to help enhance water flow to keep the mud flowing. They are supposed to put up silt fence , seeded berms and completed sediment ponds. We also have a 3500 acre foreign owned cement company that strips about 30 acres per year and leaves the bare rock with the left over dirt to wash off into the sinkholes that goes where????? Into the creek. Anyway, I guess soil conservation dosen't apply to anyone but farmers.
