Martinsville, Ohio | I have both. I prefer the wood, it is friendlier, sometimes cheaper, sometimes not.
Cost and final size and ability to work in your insulation and electric is most important.
Longevity doesn't seem much different in my experience but I could be wrong.
Insurance rate could be a factor but I haven't seen it.
They consider a barn full of junk a barn full of junk and charge you appropriately. LOL
